Sourdough Cream Rolls


1 cup sourdough starter
1 cup flour
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of cream of tarter
½ tsp salt
1/3 cup cooking oil


oven: 400°F
Mix ingredients. Batter will be stiff.
Knead several times on a floured board
Roll out flat and cut into 1.5 inch circles
Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 - 15 minutes until golden brown (depends on thickness)
Makes 9 - 12 biscuits
Notes: This is a rich, slightly sweet tasting biscuit that is quite delicious. The original recipe used a sourdough starter with sugar in it. I used my regular starter (see the Miscellaneous section) and added the sugar to the recipe as noted above.
