Chocolate Dipped Almond Crescents
Ingredients
1 cup powdered )(icing) sugar
2 egg yolks
2½ cups flour
1½ teaspoons almond extract
1 cup chocolate chips, melted
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°F and line cookie sheets with parchment paper
- Beat butter,sugar, and eggs in large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy
- Beat in flour and extract until well blended
- Shape dough into one inch balls (if too soft to handle, cool in refrigerator until firm)
- Roll each ball into a 2 inmch rope, tapering each end. Curve rope into a crescent shape
- Place two inches ap[art on prepared cookie sheet
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. (Cookies will not brown)
- Remove to wire racks and cool completely
- Dip one end of cookie into melted chocolate and place on wax paper.
- Let stand until chocolate is set
Note:
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
