Old-Fashioned Chocolate Pie


1 cup sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
¼ cup all-purpose flour
pinch salt
2 ¼ cups water
1 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 tsp Vanilla
1 pastry shell (9 inches) baked
Whipped cream and chocloate sprinkles for a topping


  1. Combine sugar, cocoa, flour and salt in a large saucepan.

  2. Gradually add water

  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a bowl

  4. Cook and stir for one minute longer or until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat.

  6. Stir in butter and vanilla.

  7. Pour into the pastry shell.

  8. Refrigerate 2 - 3 hours before serving.

  9. Garnish with whip cream and sprinkles.
