Home Made Pizza (Bread machine)
Ingredients
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2½ cups flour
1 Tbsp dry yeast
pepperoni, bacon, mozzarella cheese, etc. as desired
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ can spaghetti sauce (about 375 mL)
Directions
- Add first five ingredients to your bread machine in the order listed (or as described in owner's manual)
- Set machine to "dough" setting. This will take about 2½ hours to complete the cycle.
- spray 9 x 13 pan (or 1 or two circular pizza pans) with Pam or a small amount of oil.
- Spread out the dough to cover the pan(s) and form a small lip around the edge.
- Spread spaghetti (tomato) sauce over dough.
- Spread Parmesan cheese over sauce
- distribute other ingredients over dough finishing off with the cheese.
- Bake at 425°F for about 20 minutes.
- Notes: Makes enough dough for two round pizza pans but spreading dough this thinly is difficult. I prefer thick crust pizzas and a 9 x 13 inch pan is perfect for this.
- Dough recipe is from Black & Decker Bread Machine cook book (which I have misplaced - as best I can remember it.)
