Coleslaw Dressing


½ cup cooking oil
2/3 cup vinegar
2 ¼ cups salad dressing
¾ granulated sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup minced onion
green food coloring (few drops)


Combine in blender until smooth. Makes about 4 cups. Will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks.

Shred cabbage, add raisins if you wish, and pour on dressing sparingly.

Notes: We omit the food-coloring. We also use cider vinegar although the original called for white vinegar.
